MyWorkPLAN – Product Features


Many of the functions and features described below are demonstrated in the MyWorkPLAN Getting Started Tutorial.


MyWorkPLAN's core modules....

ESTIMATOR calculates your quotations based on CAD-data or information from your job and quotation database or even your EXCEL© spreadsheets. Use this module in combination with the MyWorkPLAN Analyzer to ensure you quote competitively and make money on your jobs!

JOB TRACKER monitors the progress of your jobs and creates proofs of delivery as well as invoices with a single mouse click. It keeps you up to the minute on company activity and jobs’ status with easy to follow charts and numbers.

INFOMANAGER keeps information about your jobs all in one place: letters, emails, notes, deadlines and even CAD data. Alarm functions alert you to important dates and events, keeping you on the ball.

SCHEDULER is an optional module that manages your resources and capacities. It finds the appropriate time slot for production based on your capacities as well as on your customers' requested delivery dates, saving on time, money and nerves along the way! You spot and avoid possible problems before they arise and meet your delivery deadlines.


MyWorkPLAN – Tools of the Trade...

CAD ANALYZER: For a really accurate quote you need to view and analyze CAD-data. You can do this with MyWorkPLAN's optional Analyzer module which is fully integrated within the system.  In a single mouse click, Analyzer extracts the required data and drops it directly into your project data: volumes, surfaces, measurements, minimum and maximum radii, material…etc.  The MyWorkPLAN Analyzer can handle a range of formats including STEP, IGES, UNIGRAPHICS, CATIA V4 & V5, PARASOLID.

 

CAM INTERFACE: MyWorkPLAN can interface with our WorkNC CAM system and enables toolpath details to be viewed directly from within the software adding significantly to quotaiton accuracy

 

 

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTIC CRITERIA – You handle a lot of jobs and it’s impossible to remember all the details, especially for jobs done and delivered a while ago. Perhaps one of your experienced operators has left the company? So, how do you quickly retrieve information that could be useful for new jobs? In MyWorkPLAN’s TECHNICAL CRITERIA you can set up your own filing system and search all your data. What's more, when analyzing a CAD part in the MyWorkPLAN Analyzer some of the technical criteria is automatically fillled in for you.


EXAMPLE INDUSTRY DATABASES – Learn how to use the software with MyWorkPLAN’s easy to follow sample industry databases. They can even be used as a template: just change the company data and start working. MyWorkPLAN databases include injection moldmaking, engineering offices and general mechanical. PROJECT MANAGEMENT - Project data often change over the lifecycle of the project.  With MyWorkPLAN's flexible data structure you can keep track of all revisions and ensure you are always working to the most recent information.  The system provides several tools to speed up and automate project communication - milestones, modifications and messages.


EASYVIEW

MyWorkPLAN – Useful features for your day-to-day work...

EASYVIEW – is MyWorkPLAN’s central tree-like structure that you use to work the data in MyWorkPLAN. It is similar to the MS Windows Explorer© principle, but EASYVIEW goes further: you can sort your data according to your needs — by customer, quotation, job (completed as well as in progress), etc. With EASYVIEW you can keep track of data contained in every module.

 
EASYDATA – You need to quote for a job. You have probably already done a similar job and could use it as a base for the new quotation? In MyWorkPLAN you can quickly find any past job or quotation, copy it in a mouse click, and simply amend as necessary…

 

EASYFILTER – is MyWorkPLAN’s easy-to-use but powerful filtering tool allowing you to quickly find and filter all the data you need. Save the filters you use often and work faster every time.

 

EASYHELP – Tired of wading through frustrating ‘help doc’ that rarely answers your questions or forgetting how something is done just a couple of weeks later? EASYHELP eliminates this common irritation by not only providing clear Help Center documentation but also allowing you to type in your personal help notes on every screen so ‘help’ is always at hand.

 

EASYNOTE – Something important to remember about the job? An important call to make or a revised deadline to meet? Just leave a note to yourself amongst the project data using MyWorkPLAN’s EASYNOTE feature – as easy as paper POST-ITs.

 

EASYTEXT – With MyWorkPLAN you can create a library of texts and blocs of text that you can use again and again. With a single mouse click you can retrieve these texts and insert them in your documents saving time and effort.   

 


MyWorkPLAN - Optional manufacturing modules..

If you require more than core job management functions but are not yet interested in or ready for full ERP, a range of optional manufacturing modules can be made available with MyWorkPLAN to suit your specific requirements.

PURCHASING & STOCK MANAGEMENT

 
In MyWorkPLAN you can order exact purchasing requirements – including raw materials, standard supplies, and sub-contracted services – without having to switch to another software solution.  You can define minimum stock levels for your standard components, and then see whether any components are out of stock. You can also see in which storage bin you have reserved stock and what quantities need to be ordered.
 

 

MyWorkPLAN automates the creation of supplier-related documents such as quotation requests, purchase orders and delivery receipts throughout the process.   With MyWorkPLAN you have full visibility and traceability of stock and purchases and can manage your inventory efficiently.
 

TIME MANAGEMENT

 

The MyWorkPLAN system enables the collection of real time data. For each task, you are able to record the actual time spent by machines and employees.  This can be done by keying in data manually or by using touch screens or bar codes.

 
When using touch screens your employees are able to record time and attendance, and when they start or finish any task. The employee can select a “resource” - a machine or workstation for example – and view all tasks that can be completed by that resource, or the tasks assigned to it within the current schedule.

 
At any time, the production manager can open the “Workshop View” screen in which he can see, in real time, which task is running on each machine for all departments.

 

With the MyWorkPLAN system you can also print bar codes and use bar code readers to record presence and time spent on tasks. You can even import completed time directly from the machines by using an agent that reads XML files.  The manager can set up employees time & attendance “counters & rules” for overtime payment, holidays etc., and this information can pass into your payroll system via a direct interface.
